Muletown Disc Golf was started by a group of community members who loved disc golf and thought that the sport would bring many benefits to Columbia and Maury County at large. The effort to bring disc golf to Columbia first began in 2013. After the involvement of many people and community leaders, disc golf became a reality in Woodland Park in April 2016 and the Muletown Disc Golf club officially formed in June of that year.
