Announcing the 2018 Muletown PDGA Spring League

Looking to build on last year’s successful Fall league, we’re once again going to host a PDGA sanctioned league at Woodland Park.
The entry fees and finale payouts will remain the same, but based on club member feedback, we’re tweaking the format a bit. ALL rounds during this league will be PDGA rated, but for the league standings, we’re going to be taking your 5 best rounds out of the 9 weeks to determine your points.
League points will be determined by what you shoot and nothing more. If you play more than 5 rounds during this 9 week league, your worst round will be dropped from your 5 league scores which will improve your standing in the league.
Example: (7 rounds) 60-61-58-57-65-59-64
This player would drop the 65 and 64 rounds.
It’s gonna be a blast. Y’all come out and invite your friends. All skill levels will be represented and welcomed! Also, PDGA membership IS NOT required to participate in this league.

Follow this link to the PDGA website for more league info.

2018 Muletown Ice Bowl – Event Recap

The 2018 Muletown Ice Bowl is in the books! We had 32 participants show up to compete in some classic Ice Bowl inclement weather and the results were amazing. The following amounts were raised during this Ice Bowl for Harvest Share Food Pantry by participants and hole sponsors:

Total Money Raised for Harvest Share: $911.00

Total Amount of Food Donated to Harvest Share: 198 lbs

We’d also like to thank the following organizations for their generous Ice Bowl prize donations:
Lawrence County Disc Club
Muletown Coffee
Music City Disc Golf

We had a memorable disc golf competition out in the mud and rain. The holes had some interesting rules and stipulations imposed by the many hole sponsors along with multiple CTP prizes. Some examples of these sponsor imposed rules are holes requiring putters only, off hand roller tee shots, tomahawk throws and left hand turbo putts into the basket. However, at the end of the day two teams finished victorious over the field:

Open/Adv Champions (Long Tees):
Swiss N’ Chris (Swiss Affolter & Chris Arant) – 55 Total Score

Int/Rec Champions (Short Tees):
DDD (Darius Turrentine & Blake David) – 47 Total Score

The following people also won prizes in the food donation challenge:
Crissy Dale – 78 pounds
Swiss Affolter – 45 pounds

Thank you everyone for your generosity and care for our community.
