Muletown Ice Bowl Recommended Food Donations

There will be an optional food donation challenge at the Muletown Ice Bowl this year. The individual donating the most food in pounds will win a prize. According to Maury County Harvest Share Food Pantry the following food items are particularly needed:

Canned Food:
Green beans, corn, peas, turnip greens, tomatoes, pinto beans, white beans, black-eyed peas, pork and beans, mixed vegetables, potatoes, chili, soups, tuna, spam, mackerel, yams, fruit cocktail, peaches, apple sauce, spaghetti sauce.

Other:
Corn flakes, oats, shortening, corn meal, flour, sugar, peanut butter, crackers, spaghetti noodles, elbow macaroni, can or dry milk.

Cash Donations:
All of the money raised in the Muletown Ice Bowl will be donated to Maury County Harvest Share. They use the money to buy eggs, margarine, chicken and other food items listed above and to support operating expenses. Harvest Share is able to buy food tax free and in case lots. Additional cash donations on top of event entries will be accepted at the event.
